T.R.U.S.T. began in 1999 after the heartbreaking murder of Michelle Childress, niece of our founder. Helen had already spent years serving grieving families through the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. Out of that deep valley, God shaped a ministry that joins personal sorrow, and Psalm 23 hope to companion others through loss.
Guided by decades in grief and trauma work, we offer care that is both spiritually grounded and trained. Chaplain Helen is a Licensed Chaplain Practitioner, Certified Grief Counselor, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Mental Health First Aider, and Law Enforcement Chaplain. These credentials support the gentle way we listen, pray when invited, provide education, and help families navigate some of the most difficult moments they will ever face.
Our ministry walks beside individuals, families, churches, and communities carrying loss, trauma, or end-of-life concerns. We meet people online or in person, entering hospital rooms, homes, sanctuaries, and community spaces when presence matters most. Over the years, many have said our quiet, steady way of showing up with prayerful care and real conversation helped them sense that God had not forgotten them.
To provide compassionate support, education, spiritual encouragement, and practical resources that bring hope, healing, restoration, and empowerment to individuals, families, and communities experiencing grief, trauma, crisis, emotional struggles, and life challenges.
A trusted resource where individuals and families discover healing, hope, purpose, and restoration while building stronger communities through faith, compassion, education, and service.
T.R.U.S.T. is a faith-based bereavement and grief support ministry in Montgomery County, PA, founded by Chaplain Helen M.C. Jones after the tragic murder of her niece in 1999. Helen had already served grieving families since 1987. Her personal loss, joined with long experience in grief and trauma, shaped a calling to assure others that they need not walk through sorrow by themselves.
Over the years, this ministry has grown into a place where professional training and Christian faith work together. Chaplain Helen now serves as Certified Grief Counselor, Chaplain Practitioner, Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aider, and Funeral Celebrant. Guided by Psalm 23, we walk with communities through the valley of grief, offering prayer, and guidance.
